By accessing, signing into, or using InboxMate (the "Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any portion of these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
2. Description of Service
InboxMate is a web-based productivity assistant that connects with your Gmail account using Google OAuth 2.0 to provide:
- Inbox reading, email search, and thread viewing via the Gmail API.
- Email summarization powered by Google Gemini Artificial Intelligence.
- Context-aware email reply generation and tone customization.
- Email classification, priority tagging, and action item detection.
- Drafting and sending emails or replies at the explicit direction of the user.
3. Eligibility & Account Security
To use InboxMate, you must have a valid Google / Gmail account and be at least 13 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction). You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials and for all activities that take place under your authenticated session.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to misuse the Service or assist any third party in doing so. You agree that you will NOT:
- Use the Service to transmit spam, bulk unsolicited messages, phishing emails, or harmful malware.
- Violate the Google Terms of Service or the Google API Services User Data Policy.
- Attempt to probe, scan, test the vulnerability of, or breach any security or authentication measures of the Service.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the application source code or underlying infrastructure.
- Use automated scrapers, bots, or extraction scripts to overwhelm our backend or Google APIs.
5. AI Features & Output Disclaimer
User Responsibility for AI Outputs
InboxMate leverages large language models (Google Gemini AI) to provide summaries and drafted responses. AI-generated text is provided solely for informational and drafting assistance.
Important Notice: While AI models strive for accuracy, they may occasionally hallucinate, omit nuances, or generate inaccurate summaries. You are exclusively responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing any AI-generated summaries, subject lines, or email replies before sending or relying on them.
6. Ownership & Intellectual Property
Your Content: You retain full ownership, title, and all intellectual property rights to your emails, attachments, and messages. We claim no ownership over any content you view, summarize, or draft through the Service.
Application Rights: InboxMate and its original interface, design, graphics, branding, code, and documentation remain the exclusive property of its creators and licensors.
7. Third-Party Services & Google APIs
Our Service integrates with external services provided by Google LLC (including Google OAuth, Gmail API, and Google AI Studio / Gemini API). Your use of these third-party features is subject to the terms and privacy policies of the respective providers. We do not control Google's underlying service availability.
8. Termination & Revocation
You may stop using the Service at any time by signing out and disconnecting our application in your Google Account Settings.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive, fraudulent, or illegal activity.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INBOXMATE AND ITS DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA LOSS, MISCOMMUNICATION, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION ARISING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless InboxMate, its developers, and contributors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
12. Modifications to Service & Terms
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice. We may also revise these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after any modifications constitutes your binding acceptance of the updated Terms.
